Motivation & Support / Eating disorder people! Weight loss buddy! Anyone! Help!

When you starve yourself and your body is in starvation mode you store fat on your body because hour body doesn't know when it's next meal might be coming. If you eat about every two hours you burn off the most calories as your always keeping your metabolism up... I train to compete and I eat almost 7000 calories a day. I am by no means tellin you to go eat that many I'm just saying that is how many my body needs to build muscle. I also weigh around 155 lbs and stand about 5"6 but I bet you wouldn't guess that by looking at my picture. Stop stressing about a stupid number on a scale. I normally am around 128 and for training bulk to 160 and I wear all the same clothes. Muscle weighs more so never be discouraged if you don't lose weight. Muscle eats fat. Only food and working out will give you muscle and energy. Starving yourself is only making you go backwards

Weight Loss / I have a confusing question

Could be food. Could be water retention also most women gain about 5-7 lbs Around the time of the month and its usually bloating in that area. You will usually be your biggeat at night also. first in the morning is when you Should weight yourself...Since I have started working out I've actually gained almost 30 lbs I don't stress about a number on the scale I go by how I feel. Fit my clothes and look in the mirror.

Morning morning morning morning. BEFORE breakfast! Cardio! And weights you can do anytime of day really. But you get your best benefit straight outta bed in the AM

Eggs. Peanut Butter, Nuts.... ( almonds, pumpkin seeds, peanuts) Tofu, Any kind of beans, cheese, yogurt, milk, soy nuts or edamame... All very fast and high protein

Women's Locker Room / Losing 40 lbs in a month.

I'm sorry but your absolutely stupid if you think you can be healthy and lose that much weight in a month without killing your body. Please just do properly it doesn't take that long if you have the willpower to eat right it woul probably only take 3 months and your chances of keeping the weight off are like 30 times higher And stop focusing on a number go by how your clothes fit. I am 157 lbs 5"7 and my body fat is 12 percent. I weigh a lot but I'm nowhere near fat I work extremely hard

I don't work out at the gym either. I used to but now I do all my excerisize from home! You don't need a gym to get in good shape!

London England or Ontario? I'm in Vancouver BC... I'm satisfied with my upper body but my thighs are huge and I know it's mostly muscle but i want them to be smaller. Maybe we can give eachother tips :)

Actually the question was how to bulk up fast. So thanks but I'm not wrong. I compete in the  BC bodybuilding I would never reccomend someone to run if they wanted to bulk really fast... That's dumb

Wtf... I don't know why someone would tell you to run but that's not what you should do to bulk up. Running will actually reduce your muscle size... Don't do any cardio whatsoever... Like nothing. Change your workouts. Go to the gym and work out your back and do excersises youve never done. Muscle shock creates extreme muscle growth. And eat a lot of protein. Chicken, yams, eggs, quinoa, stuff like that.

I'm from Vancouver BC but my favorite sports team is not the Vancouver Canucks it would definetely be the Chicago Blackhawks or the Chicago cubs

Women's Locker Room / Sports bra

I have 30 DD breasts and i have this problem constantly! I bought a lululemon sports bra! With thick straps and lots of support. It's super comfy and pretty much the only thing I find that works... It was expensive at like 65 dollars but ive had it for almost 2 years now and still looks and feels like new! Best investment ever!

Body Building / Teen muscle building

I started training at 14 and i am 22 now. You can start lifting weights young as you want. They mean do it naturally. Stay away from supplements until your about 19 that's what is bad for you not the actual weightlifting

Im sad by this to be honest. I know its hard to get started. When i started and was not strong and out of shape i wanted to quit but it took only 4 months for me to look like i do in my picture. Once you get stronger and leaner and faster you will start to enjoy it becausr it is a great motivator... Start by just simply walking... And remember its 80 percent diet... Id you dont eat proper you dont get benefit. If you need anything at all please dont hesitate to send me a message. We are a team

Hey everyone,
Ive been using this app for a little while now and absolutely love it but i recently discovered another free app and wanted to share it with everyone that has an iphone!
Its called mapmyrun. I try to run everyday and always take my iphone along so i can listen to my music, while im running this app tracks my exact route via GPS... It calculates your pace and total time as well its absolutely awesome for someone trying to get a faster time, increase cardio, track your routes etc. It also allows you to punch in what food ou have eaten which subtracts off your daily total of calories and keeps track of everything! I would recommend it along with this app to anyone! If anyone else has any kther fav apps i would love to hear them!

Ahh I would be careful jogging... I would reccomend the elliptical anything with really low impact as well as strengthening excersizes such as wall sits, easy shallow squats etc

Hold a dumbbell in one hand, put your legs shoulder width apart and lean to the side and then up. While you do it try and flex your abdominal muscles

Motivation & Support / Things couldn't get any worse

Trust me, if you ignore him it will let him know youve moved on and don't care... Dot show any sign I weakness. Flirt it up with guys while your there but for the love of god don't stop going!!! It will let him win! I see my exes at the gym all the time I just pretend they aren't there and it drives them nuts! You go girl!!!

Also try and take a picture of your body once a week, if you start to see a positive change then it's amazing motivation. I do this every week! People get discouraged when they don't see results but work a lot harder once they do. Dont focus on the number of the scale, go by how you look and feel in your clothes. The mind is an amazing and powerful thing :) you would be surprised how far it will take you

I eat a lot so that's a tough one, who doesn't love to eat when there bored right? What I do is I always carry a one liter water with me at all times I find if I'm constantly drinking water then I think about food less, I don't keep any unhealthy food in the house so if I'm hungry I can make a good meal. That I won't feel guilty about. Also try eating a protein and fiber meal as opposed to a carb meal. For example eggs which have lots of protein will keep you feeling fuller longer then something like cereal because cereal has sugar and carbs which will cause an increase in blood sugar for a short time and then a sudden drop which will make you crave food that is less healthy. Eating late at night is what is hardest for me but it's one of the most important I have no advice on that. you just gotta do your best. I allow myself one cheat day a week and I always look forward to it

And muscles are mostly water, so drink lots of it. But ya if probably do very minimal cardio also only for a warmup you wanna get your heart rate up before you hit the weights
