Description

This workout is tailored for Timothy "Arthur" Hertweck and conforms to NASM's recommendations for Phase 1 training. This program will be used as part of a larger program in preparation for Cross Country Bike race scheduled in August. FYI: Max Heart Rate (188 bmp); 65% max (145 bpm [Karvonen method]); 75% max (157 bpm). As a rule of thumb, in this introductory workout, you want your upper limit to be just before you start breathing hard and fast, what it called the ventilatory threshold.
