By using a stability ball and a medicine ball, this workout enhances balance while tuning up strength. Ironically, a stability ball introduces an element of instability, engaging a bevy of core muscles to hold you steady that wouldn’t be in use if you stood on a flat surface. Another nice twist in several of the exercises is a torso rotation that works core muscles used in many sports, including golf, kayaking, tennis, and swimming.
