Description

Exercises for strengthening feet to prevent and improve the condition of hallux valgus (bunion). The exercises are from a thesis by Noora Uusihaka and Joonas Hiirikoski at Seinäjoki University of Applied Sciences in Seinäjoki, Finland. They examined, with satisfying results, if the condition of hallux valgus could be improved by strengthening the muscles of the foot. The thesis can be found on the Internet. It's in Finnish but it has pictures on how to perform the different exercises. The time frames in the workout are approximate, perform the exercises the number of times given in the instructions.
