Sit on a mat with your legs extended in front of you and back tall and straight. Cross your left ankle over your right knee, and allow your left knee to open outward. You may feel a stretch deep in your buttocks from this action alone.
From this position, hinge forward at the hips, leaning your torso over your thigh until you feel a good stretch. You also can place a hand on the left thigh to gently press your knee closer to the mat. Hold the position for 30 seconds.
